WELCOME

If I could tell you one thing about optimal nutrition, it would be that it looks different for everybody. I earned my master's degree from the University of Arizona and I have years of experience in the acute hospital, residential, and outpatient eating disorder treatment setting.

I specialize in intuitive eating, eating disorders, relationship with food, food allergies and sensitivities, women's health, metabolic syndrome, building muscle and bone density, and eating for longevity.

​

I teach clients how to manage their nutrition related condition while keeping a positive relationship with food. Yes, you can take care of your health while practicing intuitive eating!

I simplify nutrition and compassionately guide you toward your goals. I equip you with the tools you need to be successful. We will discuss real-life nutrition tasks including time management, stress management, grocery shopping, menu planning, exercise, hunger and fullness, food preferences, and nutrition science.

A few facts about me: I enjoy lifting weights, eating sushi, going to the beach, and animals!

SPECIALIZATION

Eating Disorders

 

Recovery takes time, patience, and a personalized plan, and I will be there with you every step of the way. Whether or not you have a formal diagnosis of Anorexia Nervosa, Binge-Eating Disorder, Bulimia Nervosa, or OSFED, you deserve help if food and body image is taking away from your quality of life. Through CBT we will challenge distorted thoughts and implement coping tools that make a difference in your recovery.

Food Allergies & Sensitivities

 

Food allergies and sensitivities can feel frustrating but they don't have to hold you back from enjoying food! My goal is to shift your mindset around food from a place of scarcity to abundance. Working together we will create new meal and snack ideas that leave you feeling satisfied. We will discuss grocery shopping, menu planning, cooking, food safety, and more. 

Chronic Conditions

 

Do you have osteoporosis, metabolic syndrome, PCOS, or arthritis? If you have a chronic condition, I believe you can enjoy your food and manage your symptoms! Working together we will create a personalized plan focusing on menu planning, stress management, quality of sleep, self care, an enjoyable movement routine, and more. 

Menstrual Irregularities & Women's Health

 

There are a number of reasons why your period may be irregular. I specialize in hypothalamic amenorrhea (HA), polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), and regulating the menstrual cycle through evidence based nutrition, stress management, and lifestyle modifications. 

Metabolic Syndrome

 

Do you have high blood pressure, hypertension, high blood sugar, or a combination of these? Genetics have a large impact on the etiology of these conditions therefore different interventions will work for different people. I believe you can enjoy food and manage your symptoms! Working together we will create a personalized plan focusing on menu planning, stress management, quality of sleep, self care, and an enjoyable movement routine.

Muscle Mass & Bone Density

 

Genetics and aging can make it difficult to maintain or build muscle mass and bone density yet these tissues are required for optimal immune function, cognitive function, cardiovascular health and more. If your goal is to build or maintain muscle mass and bone density, we can work together to create an exercise & nutrition plan that is sustainable for your lifestyle. 

Intuitive Eating

 

Intuitive Eating is a nutrition approach that focuses on health behaviors & optimal bodily function rather than weight. It is about honoring your unique nutrition needs and eating and moving in a way that feels good mentally, physically, & spiritually. If you are ready to reconnect with your body's cues and tune out the internet's restrictive, oversimplified nutrition and exercise recommendations, I am here to compassionately guide you through this process.

I am a health at every size (HAES) dietitian. I follow a weight inclusive framework which defines health based on behaviors and optimal bodily functioning rather than from a weight standpoint.

A positive relationship with food improves your ability to honor body cues, nutritional needs, food preferences, and manage chronic conditions with kindness. It is the foundation for sustainable, long lasting nutrition change.

HAES As a Health at Every Size (HAES) practitioner, I respect the inherent diversity of body shapes and sizes. My mission is to end weight discrimination and to promote health policies and practices which equalize access to healthcare and health education for everyone. 

EXPERIENCE

EATING DISORDER DIETITIAN I counsel and provide medical nutrition therapy to clients diagnosed with eating disorders in the inpatient and outpatient setting, including those with comorbidities. I specialize in intuitive eating and treating ARFID, anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge-eating, and OSFED.

ACUTE HOSPITAL DIETITIAN Experience in counseling and providing medical nutrition therapy to those in a diseased state and in critical condition. Frequently assessed patients presenting with kidney disease, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and lipid abnormalities.

EDUCATION I earned my master's degree along with over 1000 hours of supervised training in food safety, medical nutrition therapy, and counseling.
